Sign Up for SAT and ACT Diagnostic Testing
Interested in finding out whether the SAT or ACT is the right test for your student? Our diagnostic testing is available most Saturdays during the school year, several days a week during the summer, and as a test-at-home option. We also offer extended time testing and multi-day testing for students who have testing accommodations (504 or IEP).
Be Ready for the Digital SAT
With the SAT going digital in 2024, we are now offering a digital diagnostic test for new clients, which can be taken in our center or at home. Our practice digital SAT mimics the real test in every aspect, so students gain hands-on experience and accurate practice scores. We recommend that students provide their own laptop or tablet to take the digital SAT to ensure consistent testing results.
To be ready for the digital SAT in 2024, we recommend students take our practice digital SAT and our paper-based practice ACT. We will meet with the family afterwards to review the results and provide a recommended test plan for 2024. Sign up for upcoming test dates below.

Everest's SAT-ACT Diagnostic Testing Process
Should high school juniors take the SAT or the ACT college admissions test? Do you know which test is best?
The truth is that submitting scores from either test can improve a student's college application, but only one test is likely best for each student's knowledge and skills.
Our test prep program is based on preparing students for the best test for each individual. To help them select the right test, we offer SAT and ACT diagnostic tests with in-person proctoring. These are full tests administered under realistic conditions, and the results provide us with the detailed data needed to assess a student's potential to increase their score on each test.
The end result: a clear picture of whether the ACT or SAT offers a stronger opportunity for the student to reach the target score needed for their college admissions goals.

Both Tests Are Equally Accepted
Schools have accepted and treated both tests equally for more than a decade, so students owe it to themselves to explore which test better matches their knowledge, skills and abilities. The difference could mean beating the score threshold at your target school.
Why Not a Combo Test?
Our decades of experience have shown that combination diagnostic tests and other short-cut methods do not provide accurate results because:
If a student is going to put in the hard work to raise their score, they deserve the chance to identify and prepare for the right test.
- the SAT and ACT are not the same type of test, and so they are structured very differently,
- the format requires truncating test sections or dropping them altogether, providing little to no data for those sections, and
- combining their test questions into one exam does not effectively simulate the specific demands of each test, resulting in misleading results.
If a student is going to put in the hard work to raise their score, they deserve the chance to identify and prepare for the right test.
Review Meeting
Once testing is complete, we provide a complimentary meeting with the student and interested family members where we will review the test results in detail and advise on which test to pursue based on the student's college plans and goals. The meetings run 45-60 minutes and are available over Zoom at a time convenient to you.
