We have revamped our SAT preparation process with new materials, techniques, and strategies to support student success on the new format. With small-group classes and 1:1 tutoring available, we have options for every student’s needs, schedule, and budget. Achieving Your Best Score
You have a choice between taking the SAT or ACT college admissions tests, so we will identify the best test for you to take, prepare you thoroughly for test day, and celebrate your score increases. Whether you choose individual tutoring or a small group prep class, we work to ensure your top scores will support your academic goals and college targets.
Based on our decades of experience, we know that mastering these tests requires students to have both an understanding of the questions being asked and experience answering them. During their tutoring sessions, our students master strategies for different question types and develop missing skills, and then work to hone their skills further through homework assignments. We know there are no shortcuts for improving test scores. It takes knowledge of the tests and practice, practice and more practice. We provide our students with the knowledge, capabilities, and motivation to do their best.

Our Process
At Everest, the test prep process starts with taking diagnostic tests for the SAT and ACT that help us to determine which test is a better fit for each student's skills and knowledge. After reviewing the results with the student and their family, we will recommend the test on which the student should focus their prep. Once the student’s first test date has been selected, we will provide a private tutoring schedule or small-group class recommendation that will meet the student’s prep needs before their test.
Working one-on-one with students, Everest’s tutors craft each lesson to address those individual needs and areas identified for improvement. Based on the student’s needs, we will focus prep on specific areas of improvement:
During the student’s prep, we follow their progress closely, provide regular practice tests to measure progress, and adjust their program as needed to ensure they are fully prepared for test day.
After test day, we provide follow up review and guidance based on the student's results.

- Strengthening students’ foundational math, reading, and writing skills.
- Students also learn data interpretation tools if taking the ACT science section.
- Implementing proven strategies to answer difficult questions and improving time-management skills.
- Teaching effective essay-writing strategies and techniques for students who need to submit an essay section
- Supporting students with 504 or IEP plans to ensure they receive the necessary accommodations and have the right tools to succeed on their test

We know it takes collaboration with parents and students to help achieve our amazing success stories. We keep parents informed and involved throughout the tutoring process with regular tutor reports and check-ins from our director at key points.
After every tutoring session or class, Everest tutors write progress notes that are sent directly to your inbox and cover what the student learned and how they did. As students reach key points in the process, we will contact parents to discuss results and adjust preparation as needed.
Of course, the lines of communication go both ways, and we are always available to answer questions or provide guidance to our clients throughout our time of service to you.

In addition to their existing academic and pedagogical experience, we train our test prep tutors to teach our proprietary strategies and techniques for each test, providing our students with a full complement of core skills and proprietary information to master the tests.

We offer the choice of in-person or remote sessions for ACT or SAT test prep tutoring during the day and evening, seven days a week. We work with you to overcome even the toughest scheduling challenges.
Schedule as much or as little as you need. We are flexible to meet the needs of our clients and their goals. We offer individual tutoring for parts or all of both tests as well as comprehensive small group classes that meet for 5-6 weeks before scheduled test dates. Many clients choose to do a mix of both, using a half-class to strengthen their stronger skills and 1-on-1 tutoring to focus on improving their weaker areas.
We also know life is chaotic, so private tutoring sessions can always be canceled for no charge with 24-hour’s notice. Regular sessions are only charged after the session has occurred.
